Top Ten Comics of the Week – 23rd September 2026
Welcome to our weekly Top Ten Comics feature, where we look at the hottest comics that have sold online this week.
The Top Ten list is supplied by our friends over at CovrPrice and based on online auction site sales such as eBay. We don’t have all of these comics in stock, but if we do, we’ll link to them. We also have no influence in the chart, as it is based on global sales.
So, without further ado, let’s have a look at what has been selling like hotcakes this week!
1 - Detective Comics #1113

Hey kids! Do you like Lego? Do you like Batman? Do you like roided out villains with pouches and Bane masks?!?!
If so, you are in for a treat with this issue of Detective Comics. There was a competition to create a new Bat Villain for a video game, and he is making his debut in this comic. AAAAAAAAAAND on this funky cover by Jim Lee. Look at his pouches.
2 - Miracle Man #1

None of you reading this actually know who Miracle Man was, do you? For those in the dark – remember when Marvel got the rights to Neil Gaiman’s Angela, and tried to make her the next big thing?
This is kinda like that.
Except, maybe. Possibly. This one may actually make a difference. I mean – in the last issue I saw saw Bucky Barnes being atomised by a nuclear bomb, so, uh…… yeah?
3 - Detective Comics #608

Super annoyingly, and apologies to our customer who tried to buy this comic a couple of days ago, but we are all out!
The first appearance of Lonnie Machin, a troubled teen who would go on to become known as Anarky. Normally forgotten. And then a paparazzi takes a picture of someone wearing his logo, and the world goes nuts. Take it as you will.
4 - Avengers: Armageddon #4C

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!
That guy who was going to become a thing became a thing and the thing that was going to annoy you, therefore became a thing.
Marvel has Miracle Man, and it looks like he is now in the Marvel Universe. Wow. The one thing it didn’t need, but will actually change the game from now on.
Anyway – first cover appearance here.
5 - Green Lantern Sinestro Corps Special #1

Second week on the top ten, and Sinestro has appeared in Lanterns for all of about 2 minutes. Whatever. Spoilers – Hal Jordan is dead, and we don’t like it. However, fans do, and they are flocking to any key issue they can find, especially when it comes to Sinestro. This little book is picking up steam. Yay.
6 - Captain America (2025) #1

How BORING is the name David Colton. God. I feel like I need to sit down on an easy chair with a blanket and watch some Murder She Wrote.
Apparently though, it looks like he may be the new Superman of the Marvel Universe. And not just ANY Superman – one who just doesn’t give a shit.
This will end well. Yeah – he appeared here.
7 -Absolute Batman: Ark-M Special

Wait – is this Tuesday?!? And we STILL have to talk about Absolute Batman? Uggggggggghhhhhh – give us a break already. Look. Batman is huge in this universe, and he fights monsters, and all of his friends are his enemies. Great.
Did you know that the Joker is a massive kaiju beast thing, and he first appears in this issue?
Well, go find a big fancy stick to play with, because the Absolute Joker appears here first.
8 - Green Lantern #50

This classic comic, with a nifty glow in the dark cover, has been hanging around the top twenty for a few weeks now, due to events happening in the Lanterns HBO show. In this issue, Hal Jordan, broken by the destruction of Coast City, has killed most of the Green Lanterns, and taken their rings in an attempt to restore the city. This breakdown leads to Hal taking on the name Parallax, and fans of the TV show feel that Hal in the series may be heading down a similar route!
9 - Captain America (2025) #2

Didn’t we already talk about this?!? The Marvel Universe now has its first ever ginger hero, and it just so happens that he has all the powers of Superman and more. This should bode well!
While people are jumping all over these issues, they are all forgetting the Wolverine: Armageddon issues that lead up to tis storyline….. foooooooools!
10 - Absolute Batman #24 - Nick Dragotta - Felix Comic Art - Design Wraparound

Yeah, we were never going to get this in, nor would we ever see it. A classic design cover, depicting the new Batgirl. Limited to a store in the USA, and modelled after one of the hottest variants of Abs Bats #1 – have fun hunting it down!!
