Top Ten Comics of the Week – 15th September 2026

Welcome to our weekly Top Ten Comics feature, where we look at the hottest comics that have sold online this week.

The Top Ten list is supplied by our friends over at CovrPrice and based on online auction site sales such as eBay. We don’t have all of these comics in stock, but if we do, we’ll link to them. We also have no influence in the chart, as it is based on global sales.

So, without further ado, let’s have a look at what has been selling like hotcakes this week!

1 - Nonplayer #1

TOP-TEN---Image-Comics---Nonplayer-#1

Nonplayer has had an interesting history. The first issue debuted back in 2011, and was about a gamer who would disappear into virtual reality to get away from her mundane life as a delivery driver. Envisioned as a 7 part series, the second issue took almost four years to come out, and the third issue has yet to be seen. In 2017 Legendary picked up the movie rights, yet nothing has been heard since. A recent YouTube documentary looked into this fascinating history, and fans of the channel have decided to give this first issue some love and attention, hence our number one book of the week!

2 - Green Lantern Corps #20 - Jahnoy Lindsay

TOP-TEN---DC-Comics---Green-Lantern-Corps-#20B

Lanterns has become one of the most talked about streaming shows of late. Fans are loving the darker take on the Green Lantern mythos, and are swarming to comics to pick up anything they can to do with the show, and its breakout hero, John Stewart, who adorns this variant cover by Jahnoy Lindsay. It won’t be the last Lantern book we see on this list, and we’re sure there will be plenty more in the weeks to come!

3 - Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1 - Daniel Warren Johnson - 4th Print Cover B

TOP-TEN---DC-Comics---Absolute-Batman-Annual-#1X

Daniel Warren Johnson has become a massive hit with fans – no pun intended when it comes to this cover! When this annual was first released, Johnson’s story was high octane, extremely kinetic, and highly controversial, and this third printing cover depicts the contents of the book in a strikingly minimalistic way. Sometimes a great cover is enough to bring a later printing into the zeitgeist, and plus – this is an Absolute Batman comic, so it was always going to be a winner!

4 - NEWMEN: Special #1 - Lucas Lee-Garza & Bill Sienkiewicz - B&W

TOP-TEN---247-Comics---New-Men-Special-#1

A generation of teenagers awakens to alien DNA and superhuman power, hunted by a world that fears them and protected by those who may not have their best interests at heart. The remastered comic from Rob Liefeld will be coming out this November, but before then, this special issue is available to track down online!

5 - Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett #1 - Jerry Ordway (1:25)

TOP-TEN---Marvel-Comics---Star-Wars-The-Book-of-Boba-Fett-#1F

The original Star Wars #42 from Marvel comics remains a favourite with fans to this day, with its famous cover depicting Boba Fett, Dengar and Bossk. This homage cover highlights characters from the Disney+ show. While The Book of Boba Fett has gone down as some of the worst Star Wars ever made, this cover is retro enough to have fans flocking to buy it!

6 - Venom #261 - Ito

TOP-TEN---Marvel-Comics---Venom-#261C

What a stunning cover! Ito has had his fans for quite some time now, but this is the first time that he has created a cover for Marvel Comics. Ito first announced this cover on his Instagram feed, causing a rush in advance sales, and a mad scramble to find it on the aftermarket. This cover, and Ito, have greater heights to hit!

7 - Amazing Spider-Man Vol 2 #36

TOP-TEN---Marvel-Comics---Amazing-Spider-Man-#36

25 years ago, an event happened that changed the world forever. The 9/11 attacks in New York are still painful for many, and this issue shows how a superhero synonymous with the city was affected by the tragic events. This stark, black, cover, has become something of a comfortable reminder of that time, and tends to always see a spike in interest around this time of the year.

8 - Green Lantern #50

TOP-TEN---DC-Comics---Green-Lantern-#50

This classic comic, with a nifty glow in the dark cover, has been hanging around the top twenty for a few weeks now, due to events happening in the Lanterns HBO show. In this issue, Hal Jordan, broken by the destruction of Coast City, has killed most of the Green Lanterns, and taken their rings in an attempt to restore the city. This breakdown leads to Hal taking on the name Parallax, and fans of the TV show feel that Hal in the series may be heading down a similar route!

9 - Spawn 77 #1 - Todd McFarlane - Whatnot - Red Retro Logo (Limited 400)

TOP-TEN---Image-Comics---Spawn-77-#1G

Spawn ’77 is Todd McFarlane’s original concept for Spawn, which he created as a kid back in the 1970s, brought to life finally by himself and Mark Spears, for a three issue miniseries. The miniseries has a lot of variant covers, but this one is the one seeing the most attention, due to it being an homage to McFarlane’s Amazing Spider-Man #300 cover. Only available to purchase on the livestream Whatnot app – this variant is commanding quite the premium now!

10 - Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps Special #1

TOP-TEN---DC-Comics---Green-Lantern-Sinestro-Corps-Special-#1

Hey – guess what? We’re talking Lanterns again! The tv show is really causing a massing spike in interest in the back catalogue of the Lantern Corps. This particular issue is in demand due to the relationship which seems to be developing in the show between Hal Jordan and Sinestro. It is beginning to look that Hal may have learnt a little more from his old mentor than may have been good for him!
