We have just had a very colourful poster arrive for the forthcoming DCEU movie, Birds of Prey and the Fabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn.
While the editing on the poster looks a little slap dash, it is clearly meant to represent the way that Harley sees the world around her. In fact, it could even be post bash-on-the-head, where upon she sees her co-stars as tweety birds circling around her.
What is strange to see, is a complete lack of recognisable costumes on the Birds of Prey, and even more so, the fact that Ewan McGregor’s Black Mask isn’t wearing a…. black mask….
What is clear from the poster, however, is that it could be an indication that we are firmly into a new era of DC movies. Following Shazam out of the darkness of previous entries in the series, and possibly going a little left-field, like this Autumn’s Joker, could this be a quirky, happy-go-lucky feel good movie, with a bit of depth to it? Or could it be Harley Quinn wise cracking her way through 90 minutes on roller skates?
We’ll find out on February 7th when the movie arrives in cinemas!
